The earrings' upright elongated dagger creates a strikingly vertical effect, with the hilt of the sword forming a cross above the tiny skull, with the shaft protruding below.
Even at this small scale, the skull is carefully detailed with darkened eye and nose sockets and a decrepit-looking mouth with two crumbling teeth.
